Could He Be Mr. Right?
You never know...
If you were offered an all-expense paid weekend surprise getaway,
would you take it? If you were promised that at the very least it would
be warm and sunny but also warned that it might also be boring or dry?
Would you turn down something that might be great but not perfect?
What about when you're feeling a little lonely and want someone to
cheer you up? Does it matter if the man to keep you company on the phone
isn't the one?
Make do with what you've got or something like that, right? And
there's nothing wrong with that, because sometimes it turns out that the
unexpected vacation was the best you ever had... and sometimes that
nice guy that left the awkward message for you is exactly what you
needed that night.
No one is perfect, not even Mr. Right. It doesn't mean you should
stop looking. Go on dates, socialize and meet new people. We learn new
things from them and we learn new things about ourselves and our needs.
And that makes it just a little bit more likely that we'll be able to
express just exactly what it is that makes a man Mr. Right. Keep an open mind and you'll find that Mr. Right For You.
The bar and club scene is more often than not a meat market where
someone's goods can be judged as "meh" before they even utter a word.
Looks are important, but they only get you so far. A nice personality, a
sense of humor, the ability to hold a decent conversation... it won't
get a guy on the cover of GQ Magazine but maybe it'll make you redefine
your "Mr. Right" criteria.
The next time you meet someone really nice, but sparks don't fly in
person, remind yourself that your next "free vacation"could just be more
like Paris than the Grand Canyon.
